Our favorite stove-top oatmeal is McCann's Steel-Cut Irish oatmeal. With its rich nutty flavor and creamy texture, it's worth the 30 minutes it takes to cook. I usually make it the night before and heat it up in the morning. We bought an old-fashioned tin o at the grocery store the first time and refill it with bulk purchases from the health food store. Each member of the family adds their favorite mix into their bowl.
McCann's also has other varieties of oatmeal.
