My kids are required to bring peanut and tree nut safe snacks to school because they typically eat them in the classsroom.  The school also asks we label snacks "NUT FREE" from home that don't have an original label attached which includes home-baked goods and other items not in original packing.  I found a great new snack by Ian's Natural Foods.  Each box contains six individual snack pouches ($2.99 box) and they already have "NUT FREE" printed on each pouch ($.50 each pouch).  Ian's FruitaBits are little rice crispies coated with real fruit puree in two flavors: Berry Cherry and Sour Apple Cherry.  The kids loved having an additional nut free snack choice. I purchased this item at our local health food store.
