Mary Lee May 15, 2010 (2 years ago)In the beginning I worried about Christopher all the time. I don't think I ever slept & I worried more when he was at school. Somehow 3 years later we seem to have a pretty consistant life. I worry more when he's high sugared from illness. Those nights are the sleepless ones. Somehow God has given me my peace of mind back due to us working so hard to keep Christopher healthy.

Donna Talbot May 12, 2010 (2 years ago)One night at a time..you can never stop the worry..goes for all your kids. I imagine you periodically check in on your daughters too. It is simply part of living with a type 1 child...
And if you every stopped worrying you would worry that something could have happened while you weren't worrying..lol!
Best wishes to you and your beautiful family.
Pray for a cure.

Dani Perry May 12, 2010 (2 years ago)At night..... I've learnt not to worry. There is nothing you can do except make sure the levels are ok before you go to bed. Anything after that, I'm sure they'd wake feeling not quite right long before anything happens. I hope.

Sara Williams May 12, 2010 (2 years ago)My 6 year old son has had Type 1 for alittle over a year & I am pretty worried at night. I have now learned that, by listening to his breathing I can tell 90 percent of the time when he is high or low. It has cut back alot on all of his finger sticks in the middle of night. I don't think that I will stop testing in the middle of the night any thme soon. Thanks for sharing.
