- Vacation

- Question For Team
- My son awakes on a daily basis at over 300. He seems to be rising steadily after about 3am. Is there anything you can suggest that may help? He is on Novorapid at mealtimes and levimir at breakfast and lunch and lantus at night. If ever I raise the dosage of levemir he hypos at about 2am.

Tracey Mar 9, 2010 (2 years ago)We use to have the same problem with our daughter at night. She is now on a pump and it makes it much easier to target those areas where she tends to run a bit higher. She also wears a continue glucose monitor so it is easy for us to see where to make the adjustments. As far as needing professional backup I think in the beginning it is a must. There is a lot to learn but now I feel comfortable with making changes on my own but from time to time I do need advice from my daughters diabetic team. Here in Canada the pump company is easy to contact for advice also. I hope this helps.........Tracey
