Julie Oct 23, 2010 (2 years ago)I am sorry you have had to join the club. I think frquent checks are very important to avoid ketones. I think most of all treating your daughter as normal as you can. Keep the same boundries rules and hugs too. This makes kids feel safe. The road will be bumpy there are many things you can not control. I used to beat myself up over Jacks numbers all the time. I try not to do that so much now, but it still happens. Jack is 6 and was dxd 3 years ago on Oct 28th. Take one day at a time and ask for help when you can, Hang in there,
