What is the single most frustrating aspect of living withdiabetes?
After 5 visits to pediatricians, they only gave herantibiotics. They completely ignored the possibility ofdiabetes, missed the symptoms and did not even do a simple urinetest. She was ill in November, by December she was so much worsethat she was not interested in opening a single Christma present. We took her to a new pediatrician the day afterChristmas. This doctor started down the same path as the otherones until I showed them a photo of her where she was clearlymuch heavier. They weighed here and she had lost 10 lbs in 4weeks.... She was so dehydrated that they had trouble gettingblood for a test. After the test results, she was immediatelyrushed to Childrens Hospital where she stayed for a month. As itturned out, she nearly died. So, doctors ignoring the symptomswas the most frustrating thing.
