I couldn't help but chuckle to myself when I unzipped JoJo's insulin pump pack, pull out her pump and found a rubber fish she named "Bubbles" stuck to the window of the pump. It occured to me this wasn't the first time I found a foreign object in her pack. Regardless of what I find it brings a smile to my face. Often time that is exactly what I need, especially if her BG numbers have been on a roller coaster that day.
Eventually Bubbles found it's way out of her pack and other objects have found their way in, as a temporary home. Things such as beads that didn't make it onto her homemade bracelets, rocks she collected while wading in the water, and one of her sister Naomi's earrings we had desperately been searching for only to discover JoJo had it all along.
One day while JoJo was cleaning her bedroom she found her High School Musical lip gloss, unzipped her pack and it was added to her growing collection. I'm sure you have also found some neat surprises in your children's pump packs. I'd love to her about them.
