Living with type 1 in our lives hour-to-hour, meal-to-meal, activity-to-activity, blood glucose level-to-blood glucose level is difficult enough. It demands a "never-ending-ness" that many cannot wrap their cerebral gray matter around. Read More »

Sherry is our guest blogger. Here's a little bit about her:

I have two wonderful little girls who amaze, fascinate, delight and frustrate me daily. Before I became a mom I was a full time registered nurse. Life is going by at lightening speed. I'm just trying my utmost to take it all in, do the best I can, learn what I'm meant to learn and give my girls the very best start I possibly can. Diabetes was thrown at us on June 9th, 2008 when my 2 year old baby, Jenna was diagnosed. Read More »

"Type 1 and Type 2 are basically the same thing..., Right?"

We have two nine year olds with Type 1. JoJo was diagnosed at four and Nick was 6. You would think that's plenty of time for extended family members to understand or even educate themselves. Years later that just isn't the case. But I have all of you--we're in this together. Read More »

It's time for that old familiar drill, listing our New Year's Resolutions: Clean the storage room, lose ten pounds, write the book, spend more time with family and friends, spend less time with family and friends, and lower our kids HbA1c's by ten percent. Read More »

Jeff and Natalie KolokI’m Natalie.  I’m a mom of three kids, two with type 1 diabetes. As you know, parenting children with type 1 diabetes is a journey of long nights, lots of work, and seldom much support. There’s not much I can do about your long nights, but I hope our website and blogs offer you some support. I look forward to blogging with you.

Hey, I’m Jeff. Blogging about diabetes? Dunno. Original thought and complete sentences instead of grunts and “yups”? Uh-oh. Well, Nat says I have to, so here’s my foray into the diabetes blogosphere…with no GPS or compass.
