The WNBA's Connecticut Sun have partnered with SLAMT1D, Inc. for their 2014 season.

One or more Sun players will become PenPals
with kids who have T1D.
A girl who is interested in the Pen Pal Program may choose either Kayla Pedersen or Chiney Ogwumike to be her Pen Pal.
Please direct any interested girl to write an introductory letter to her Pen Pal, introducing herself and her life with type one diabetes.
Please mail it to the Pen Pal's attention at:
Name of Player
Please email a copy of the letter to [email protected], as SLAMT1D must track the letter with the CT Sun.
The Pal Player will then respond with a letter back, including a personalized autograph photo.
The Pal Player will reach out to her Pen Pal at least once a month in whatever manner the Pen Pal is most comfortable with- facebook, email, letter, tweet, et cetera.
At the August 10th game, the Pen Pals will meet.
