                                                                             Program Details:

A girl who is interested in the Pen Pal Program may choose either Kayla Pedersen or Chiney Ogwumike to be her Pen Pal.

Please direct any interested girl to write an introductory letter to her Pen Pal, introducing herself and her life with type one diabetes.

Please mail it to the Pen Pal's attention at:

             Name of Player
            CT Sun
            One Mohegan Sun Boulevard
             Uncasville, CT 06382

Please email a copy of the letter to [email protected], as SLAMT1D must track the letter with the CT Sun.

The Pal Player will then respond with a letter back, including a personalized autograph photo.

The Pal Player will reach out to her Pen Pal at least once a month in whatever manner the Pen Pal is most comfortable with- facebook, email, letter, tweet, et cetera.

At the August 10th game, the Pen Pals will meet.

  • The Pen Pal will receive a mini-ball autographed by her Pal Player at the end of the season.
  •  There is a dinner planned for the Pal Players, their Pen Pals, and families after the game on August 10th.
  •  While the girls and Players may stay in contact after the end of the season, it is not required.

Besides watching a great game and
benefiting type one diabetes...

You will get a chance to be in the Fan Tunnels, participate
in the Player Meet-and-Greet, and meet Blaze!
