Do you have a non-diabetic child who is an amazing supporter of your child with diabetes? Let's celebrate their awesomeness! The date is November 28th. Celebrate in whatever way you like! Make it a special day to honor the brothers and sisters who are such important champions of their siblings with diabetes. They deserve a special day.

Dear Grace, Thank you for checking your sisters blood when we're in the car and mommy is concerned it may have dropped while we're driving. When your sister wants a snack and I can't give her a bolus... you say "I'll do it mama, how much" and I walk you through inputting her carbs in her pump. Now you are teaching your little sister how to input them. You are a trooper in all this as well. You recognize the numbers being "high" or " low" and know when something isn't right with your sister. I know it may be hard to understand why there is constant attention given to your sister with diabetes. I want you to know that although this is something that will not go away without a cure you are not ever forgotten about that's for sure. I love having our time together and making sure you know that you are so special! You always make me laugh with your silly faces. You are really good at checking labels for us now to make sure there is no GLUTEN so your sister won't get sick. Although you may not realize it, your baby sister loves and admires you so much..I've heard you two giggling and that's warms my heart! She is so proud of you and oneday will know how you took care of love her so. Love, Mommy & Daddy

We'd love to hear your sibling story...
