SLAMdiabetes
OUR MISSION
Until a cure is found, SlamDiabetes' mission is to help kids with type 1 diabetes, and their families, beat this lethal disease through empowered living: better glucose management, exercise, diet and education.
We will accomplish this by:
- Developing campaigns using the SlamDiabetes brand to increase public awareness of the difficulties and challenges children with type 1 diabetes and their families face each day.
- Funding scholarships, grants and sponsorships for underprivileged kids and their family members to attend camps and conferences created to help them develop skills and practices with which to manage their diabetes, support and assist a loved one and connect with other kids with type 1.
- Supporting parents and families in their efforts to keep their children alive and well through cooperation with other initiatives, businesses and organizations in the diabetes community.
